The Sabah Tourism Awards this year is taking a unique approach as it recognizes the exceptional efforts made by the industry during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unlike previous STAs, this year, STB will not open nominations to the public. Instead, it will focus on acknowledging and celebrating those in the tourism industry who have demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and dedication in navigating the unprecedented impacts of the pandemic on tourism.
This year’s award aims to spotlight individuals and organizations that have gone above and beyond, adapting their businesses to the realities of COVID-19 while continuing to promote Sabah as a premier travel destination.
By foregoing the usual nomination process, Sabah Tourism Board (STB) is dedicated to honoring these outstanding industry leaders by selecting a panel of experienced and knowledgeable judges from the Sabah tourism industry to identify the recipients, ensuring a fair and informed evaluation.
This esteemed panel of judges will select nominees from Sabah tourism industry that demonstrate innovation, resilience, and community support, playing a crucial role in sustaining Sabah’s tourism sector during the pandemic.
